At the end of each Sunday Meeting at the Quaker Meeting House there is a call for "Joys or Concerns." Today I stood and said the following:

"Earlier this week my wife and I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversery. However, I think we still have to wait another three years before we can officially look back and smile at all of the people who said it wouldn't last."

It was the first time I'd ever spoken at any point during a meeting... and it was good to get a laugh.



For those of you who celebrate Easter, Happy Easter.

For those of you who don't, please feel free to join us in celebrating the Five Cats' Birthday. They were born 11 years ago on Easter Sunday, and we've just kept their birthday on Easter.

They recommend you celebrate with shrimp, salmon and crab.

(but only if they can share)

the five cats are having to make do with grilled chicken. (life is so hard for some of us!)

Hmm, that's the second time this week I've heard about cats and chicken. My mum's new kitten lives on roasted chicken and made-for-cats milk. Apparently the little kitty (Millie is her name) is growing like a weed :).

ours live primarily on standard cat fud, but they would prefer to live the pampered, spoiled life they feel they deserve. of this, shrimp, crab and salmon are only the beginning.

the five had to make do with grilled chicky bird, i'm afraid. my cat, ani, was quite put out by this. she was expecting garlic & butter shrimp.

(actually, i'm slowly coming around to thought that i'm no longer somewhere between 18 and 22 years old. that's the age i'm stuck at in my head)

we still think of the two of you as being months away from having charlie. :)

the five have made a special request for some time-traveled shrimp. they'd like to do a taste test comparison with some 'today' shrimp.

they promise to report back with their findings.
